Styrofoam Recycling: Green Technology

Polystyrene, commonly known as Styrofoam, gets a bad rap. But it is a widely used economical product providing many benefits for industries such as food service, aviation, automotive, appliances, packaging and shipping, health care, and construction. Many people think that polystyrene products should be banned because they will end up in a landfill and create harm to the environment. But that is no longer the case.

A team of technicians and engineers have devised a process to recycle used polystyrene and create a material that is inexpensive, strong, durable, and water, heat, and insect resistant. It is customizable with usage across sectors - residential, commercial, and industrial. Continuing the life cycle benefits, once its first recycled life is complete, the material can be re-recycled to being life again for another purpose.

We are taking this disruptive technology to the American market. We are finding partners for R&D, distribution and sales, and manufacturing. We are solving a problem: keeping an inexpensive, widely used and beneficial product available while reducing landfills and helping the environment. A new market, useful products, more jobs.

Italian innovation, US production.
